Hatillo's brought real Puerto Rican food — made fresh, from scratch — to a beach town that had never tasted it. Everything else followed from there.
The Name and the Cow
Hatillo is a municipality in Puerto Rico, known for its open pastures and cows — and that's exactly where our logo comes from. It's a piece of home, not a gimmick.
Bringing the Island to the Shore
When Hatillo's opened, Wildwood's food scene ran on boardwalk pizza and funnel cakes. We were the first Puerto Rican restaurant here — and we came to show what real island cooking tastes like.
Fresh. Every Single Day.
No heat lamps, no shortcuts — every dish is made to order from fresh ingredients. That's not a selling point; it's just the only way we know how to cook.
Culture on Every Wall
Puerto Rican murals, flags, a wooden boat, and cow figures in every corner. The food and the space work together — this is a culture shared openly with everyone who walks through the door.
Growing Beyond Wildwood
From the Jersey Shore to East Hartford — same food, same spirit, new communities. As covered by the Hartford Courant, the recipes haven't changed and they won't.
